Most of web applications and content management systems require databases to store the various types of data required for these applications to work . Wordpress as an example require new database with each installation of its platform , this database store the different data required by wordpress to function properly , it store the theme options and the user information with the posts and categories data and other data in this database .
In the web application programing field there are different types or systems used to create and manage databases , one of The most famous platforms used in managing database systems is Mysql , Most web scripts that used to build new websites which is called content management system depend mainly in using Mysql to store the different data and information related to the website .
How to Explore the existing databases . to show the different databases already created in your site , log in to cpanel by typing cpanel or the number 2082 after your site name in the browser then type in the user and password required to log in . Then go down to the databases section and click on the mysql databases , a page will appear and a list of the existing databases will be displayed with some information about each database like the users allowed to edit it and size of the database also you can do some operation like creating new database , repair database or delete it .
To Edit and control the database on any specific web site you can use 3 ways , The first one is through using programing commands and creating scripts that contain these command and execute it by contacting the database system , Also you can use step by step wizard which take you bit by bit to create a new database , this wizard is founded in the databases section of the Cpanel control end .
There are some companies which help their clients to easily reach the control panel of the web site by adding a direct link to the Cpanel in the home page of the company . Any way if this is not available you always can reach the control panel of your web site by using the method of typing the cpanel word in the browser after the web site address , Some companies also provide some discounts with first subscription to their services to eases the process of sign up for example <a href="http://www.whcoupon.org"> hostgator coupon </a> .
Another helpful method to control the process of creation various databases in your web site is using Phpmyadmin to do that . This extensive tool have many functions which enable the web site owner to manage all the databases in his web site with out having the required database programing knowledge .
