The program offers incentives such as greater earning percentages as rewards for higher sales and successful sponsorship of new distributors.Being one of the first in the multi-level marketing industry, Shaklee's program has a good history of producing successful distributors. However, while the times have changed, and more people have become more aware and more wary about multi-level marketing, Shaklee's program has changed very little. This means that today's Shaklee distributors, while trained in the methods that made others successful, do not have all the tools they need in order to succeed today. One example is in the area of leads generation: today's distributors need additional skills in order to find new distributors to sponsor, something crucial in order to succeed with the program, and must learn these skills from outside the Shaklee system.
The fact that they still have very old trainers makes their training very unreliable. However, it is worthwhile noting that the company launched a new compensation plan where business builders get about $100, 000 the first year. But even though the company has an exciting compensation policy, very few people get to enjoy it because they get discouraged and run away. You can't afford to waste your time and money doing business with a company does not want to upgrade its strategies.
In conclusion, Shaklee can still be considered as a thriving MLM company, but if you want to be a real successful business person, it may be a better idea to try new and fresh techniques and approaches, and therefore new and innovative companies too.
